Terms of Service
Last updated: July 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Northern Lodgic (“the Platform”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.
If you approve a listing on behalf of an outfit — including through a preview link we send you — you represent that you are authorized to bind that outfit, and your electronic acceptance (such as checking an agreement box) has the same effect as a signed agreement.
2. The Platform
The Platform is operated by Northern Lodgic LLC (“Northern Lodgic,” “we,” “us”), a marketplace connecting guests with Canadian hunting and fishing outfits — lodges, camps, outposts, and outfitters (“Outfit Partners”). We facilitate discovery, communication, and payment, but the trip itself is provided solely by the Outfit Partner. Northern Lodgic does not operate lodges, provide guiding services, and is not a party to the contract for services between a guest and an Outfit Partner.
3. User Accounts
You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity under your account. You must be at least 18 years old to use the Platform.
4. Bookings, Payments & Fees
Booking inquiries submitted through the Platform are subject to confirmation by the Outfit Partner. Prices are set by Outfit Partners and may include deposits, balance payments, and add-ons. Prices are displayed in the currency indicated on the listing.
Payments are processed securely through Stripe. Northern Lodgic charges service fees and/or commissions on transactions as set out in the fee schedule or listing agreement in effect for the Outfit Partner, and any guest-facing service fee shown at checkout. Platform fees are computed on the total trip price for bookings originated through the Platform, regardless of how the balance is collected.
Bookings and inquiries that originate through the Platform must be completed through the Platform. Outfit Partners and guests agree not to move a Platform-originated booking off-platform for the purpose of avoiding fees.
5. Cancellations & Refunds
Cancellation policies are set by each Outfit Partner and displayed on their listing. Guests may request cancellation through the Platform. Refund amounts are determined by the Outfit Partner’s policy and processed through Stripe.
Northern Lodgic is not responsible for disputes between guests and Outfit Partners regarding cancellations or refunds, though we will assist in facilitating resolution.
6. Listings, Previews & Approval
To invite an outfit to the Platform, Northern Lodgic may prepare a draft listing using information and images gathered from the outfit’s own website and public marketing materials. Draft listings are private: they are not published, not indexed by search engines, and are accessible only through a private preview link.
A draft listing is published only after the Outfit Partner approves it. If an outfit declines, we remove the draft and delete the materials we gathered for it. An outfit may also ask us to remove or change a draft at any time before responding, at legal@northernlodgic.com.
During approval, we ask each Outfit Partner to identify any images that are not authorized for use outside the outfit’s own website (for example, photographer-licensed images). We will remove or replace flagged images before the listing is published, and an approval with flagged images does not go live until that is done.
7. Outfit Partner Content & License
Outfit Partners retain ownership of their photos, videos, maps, logos, trademarks, and listing content (“Partner Content”). By approving a listing or providing Partner Content, the Outfit Partner grants Northern Lodgic a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to host, reproduce, resize, crop, format, and display that content on the Platform and in promotion of the Platform and the Outfit Partner’s listing (for example, featured placements, search results, and social posts promoting the listing).
This license ends when the listing is removed, except that we may retain copies as needed for legal compliance, transaction records, and backup systems, and residual copies may persist temporarily in caches. Third-party content embedded from its original source (for example, a video played through the YouTube or Vimeo player) remains subject to that platform’s terms.
The Outfit Partner represents and warrants that it owns or has the necessary rights to license all Partner Content it approves or provides, and that our use of that content as described here will not infringe the rights of any third party, including photographers and videographers. The image-flagging process in Section 6 exists so that content without such rights is never published; content flagged after publication will be removed promptly upon notice.
8. Outfit Partner Representations & Obligations
Each Outfit Partner represents, warrants, and agrees that it will:
- Be duly licensed, permitted, and legally authorized to provide the services described in its listing, and maintain those licenses and permits for as long as the listing is live
- Maintain commercial liability insurance appropriate to its operations
- Provide accurate, current listing information — including pricing, seasons, capacity, and claims about the operation — and promptly notify us of material changes
- Respond to booking inquiries in a timely manner
- Honor confirmed bookings at the agreed price
- Comply with all applicable federal, provincial, and local laws, including guiding, hunting, fishing, and consumer-protection regulations
- Use guest information received through the Platform only to deliver the booked services, protect it appropriately, and not sell it or use it for unrelated marketing without the guest’s consent
9. Guest Obligations & Assumption of Risk
Guests agree to:
- Provide accurate personal and booking information
- Obtain required fishing and hunting licenses
- Follow outfit rules, safety guidelines, and local regulations
- Treat staff, guides, and property with respect
Hunting, fishing, boating, and wilderness travel — including fly-in access to remote locations — carry inherent risks. Guests acknowledge these risks and that the Outfit Partner, not Northern Lodgic, is responsible for the safe conduct of the trip.
10. Reviews
Guests may leave reviews. Reviews must be honest, relevant, and free of offensive content. Reviews may be verified against booking records, and unverified submissions may be moderated before they appear. Northern Lodgic reserves the right to remove reviews that violate these guidelines.
Outfit Partners acknowledge that reviews reflect guest opinions. We do not remove reviews solely because they are negative, and Outfit Partners may not offer incentives in exchange for positive reviews.
11. Indemnification
Outfit Partners agree to indemnify and hold harmless Northern Lodgic from third-party claims arising out of (a) the services they provide to guests, including personal injury or property damage occurring on a trip; (b) Partner Content they approved or provided, including intellectual-property claims; or (c) their violation of law or of these Terms. Guests agree to indemnify Northern Lodgic from claims arising out of their violation of law or of these Terms.
12. Platform Intellectual Property
All content on the Platform other than Partner Content — including design, text, software, and branding — is owned by Northern Lodgic or its licensors and may not be copied or reused without permission.
13. Verification & Badges
Badges such as “Verified” reflect checks we have performed at a point in time (such as reviewing a profile or confirming operations) and are not a guarantee, endorsement, or warranty of any outfit’s services, safety, or quality.
14. Limitation of Liability
Northern Lodgic provides the Platform “as is” and makes no warranties regarding the quality, safety, or suitability of any outfit. We are not liable for injuries, property damage, or other losses arising from a trip provided by an Outfit Partner.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising from use of the Platform shall not exceed the fees paid by you to Northern Lodgic in the twelve months preceding the claim.
15. Termination & Delisting
We may suspend or terminate accounts or listings for violations of these Terms, fraudulent activity, lapsed licenses or insurance, or other conduct harmful to the Platform or its users. You may delete your account at any time through your account settings.
An Outfit Partner may request removal of its listing at any time. Removal does not affect bookings already confirmed, which must either be honored or cancelled and refunded per the cancellation policy in effect when the booking was made, and does not affect fees already earned on completed bookings.
16. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wisconsin, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Wisconsin, and the parties consent to the jurisdiction of those courts. Outfit Partners remain responsible for compliance with the laws of the jurisdictions in which they operate.
17. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or platform notification. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
